AIM and Yahoo to cease working on the Mac shortly?

In a message from an anonymous reader, it seems Yahoo! is ceasing development of its Yahoo! messenger and AOL may be changing protocal making iChat null and void for reaching AIM.

Note from Dan: Could this be true?
