A few little birdies have tipped us off that the provider of the GMail antivirus software is Brightmail, which is now a Symantec product. So essentially Symantec powers the antiviral, and spam management of Googles GMail service.

    All I can say is that a few birdies told me… But the partnership with Brightmail is reported over the internet.
