This is REALLY cool!

Think that Apple’s UI is a wee bit lacking? If so a developer came up with a patch that adds a little spice to the iPod menu system.

Apply this ONLY to a COMPLETELY UNMODIFIED 2005-10-12 Updater! Failing to do so will A) cause the patch not to apply at all, or B) render the firmware useless. Applying an incorrectly patched updater WILL severely screw up your nano!

Please understand what you are doing. You are altering the firmware of your nano, which might void your warranty.

How to do this:

1) Run the patch .exe.

2) Locate your 2005-10-12 Updater (iPod Updater 2005-10-12.exe).

3) Use the built-in backup functionality of the patch to save a
copy of the original updater.

4) Apply the patch.

5) Downgrade your firmware if you know how (not required).

6) Update/Restore your iPod firmware.

7) You gotz iconz.

REMEMBER: This is a PATCH for the 2005-10-12 APPLE Updater for Windows! You must have that updater! You can download that from here.

It seems that this is for the nano at this time – but WORTH it.
