August 16, 1960. Joe Kittinger. 102,800 feet. Free fall for 4 1/2 minutes. 900+ KPH.

All of that with 1960’s technology. Those test pilots were crazy! How’s all that sound for a rush? Watch the video and see actual clips from a mounted camera as Kittinger matches the speed of sound.

    er derek.. i read about dis guy few days ago.. and the falling speed was “only” 600mph ( 900kmh ). No man can go beyond that speed withou an vehicle so far.. crazy thou..
