If you read through eBay’s new “Safe Payments Policy” you’ll notice that any online payments outside of Paypal are no longer allowed.

Not permitted on eBay.com: Sellers may not solicit buyers to mail cash. Sellers may not ask buyers to send cash through instant cash transfer services (non-bank, point-to-point cash transfers) such as Western Union or Moneygram. Finally, sellers may not request payment through online payment methods not specifically permitted in this policy.

Safe Payments Policy

What does this mean? It means that if Google is planning on providing an online payment service [Google Wallet], eBay is not going to allow it to compete with Paypal (at least on the eBay front). [via]
