How-To: Import & Export Gmail contacts

It looks like Gmail is rolling out a much requested feature. I was doing my regular contact list cleanup and noticed that Gmail now has an ‘Import’ & ‘Export’ feature at the top right corner of the contacts view. Users have two export options: Gmail CSV for importing your existing contacts into a secondary account, or Outlook CSV for importing into Outlook. If you want to import that same Outlook CSV into Thunderbird, follow the steps below:

1. Open the Outlook CSV file in Excel
2. Delete any unnecassary colums and data that you may not need in Thunderbird.
3. Import into Thunderbird
