Free McAfee security suite for Comcast users

If you’re a Comcast subscriber you now have access to free McAfee security software downloads. Comcast high speed internet subscribers can download their free copies of McAfee VirusScan, McAfee Personal Firewall Plus, McAfee Privacy Service, as well as a Comcast toolbar. That’s $110 worth of security software. There is no one to blame but yourself for erroneous security holes in your systems.
And why does McAfee require that you use Internet Explorer to download their software?
Get It Won’t work if you’re outside a Comcast connection.
There’s a reason it’s free.
And your feelings as to why Comcast is offering the software for free? The software has Comcast branding on it. I’ll post a screenshot.
I downloaded and installed it because I am a Comcast user.
It caused my computer to lag, programs stopped responding, couldn’t use Outlook…it completely took over my computer!!
Lucky for me I was able to restore to before I installed the program. I say, “Do not install this crap.”
I loaded it on to a family members computer and everything is running as smooth as butter. I only loaded the Antivirus and Firewall software. I’ve been hearing a lot of good and bad experiences concerning McAfee. I was prepared to rollback the system after installing both, but the computer seemed fine.
Dell does this also after you buy a computer…but not free. There is a dell logo where the Comcast one is.
I’m sure Dell likes to add all sorts of bloat into their computers.
Heck yeah, the more bloat, the slower the computer, thus you need a newer computer sooner!

got another computer and tried to get my free mcafee on it and for some reason it won’t come on…my old computer crashed and I have everything from comcast on this one but the free mcafee…please email me and let me know how to get you onto this computer….thank you…I can’t remember if you put it on or if I had too…I hope you can just send it to my computer

I was directed from the T V , comcast to come to this location for the download,
ie… free McCafee virus protection . there isn’t any download here, what’s up with this. is it a bunch of bull or what, no info…..no download button, what’s up !

oh..I finally found the little down load button, and don’t you know that it’s not just a matter of pressing a button, there are all these pre-conditions and fields to fill in and information to supply.. WHY …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………so much bull shit. I thought I would do this in five minutes before work. not happening ! they want you to sell your soul before you can down load. to much time involved. I will just go pay the 150.00 for the soft ware, it’s easier. stuff it comcast you pissed me off. and I may just have to go to another provider.
Nothing in life is free…quite frankly, while I already have McAfee in place, when you go on line to install the ‘FREE’ coverage…it is bogus. Perhaps the BBB should be apprised of this ridiculous come on and false advertising.
