OSX: Screenshots with transparent backgrounds

Floating screenshotHere’s a tip I felt that OSX users would be interested in. OSX users are already – or are now aware after reading this post – that Apple + Shift + 3 will capture a full desktop screenshot. Apparently Apple + Shift + 4 followed by the Spacebar will activate a small camera icon. You can then move this camera on top of individual windows or widgets. The resulting PDF/PNG image will have a transparent background. Drag the image into Photoshop and you’ll notice shadows giving the illusion that your screenshot is floating. [via]
