Color variants for Google Talk

Although the standard white with blue minimal theme of Google Talk looks fine as is, I’m sure there are a few users out there that would prefer a little more color. If you’re itching for a copy of Google Talk to better match your mood or desktop environment, check out the black, red, yellow, pink, and blue “themes”. These aren’t really “themes”, they’re actually reshacked versions of the default Google Talk application. You’ll have to download whatever color you want and replace your existing copy locally (C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk). Backup your existing copy in case you want to return to the default version.

If you’re feeling adventurous, download Reshacker from the link above and open Google Talk. You’ll want to save and edit bitmaps 139, 5001-5104, and 6007. Change the colors to whatever you want then replace them using Reshacker.

These will have to do until Google gives users a little more flexibility as far as interface customization. [via]
