Slide Beta is now open for registration. If you’re looking for a new photo / file sharing social network service mashup, you may be interested in checking out the new “Personal Broadcasting” service. Unfortunately the service is limited to Windows users. Support for OSX is on the way.

Instead of manually uploading images to an online service, Slide is desktop client which indexes photos locally. You’re images are organized into channels (sets). Your images, as well as other users images you may have subscribed to, Slide by you on a scrolling desktop ticker.
