I Had the same problem, then i realised that my computer did not have SSE3, im pretty sure you need this to run OSX…
if you;re running windows try CPUID to check

Has anyone figured out the “You must restart your computer” screen issue? I’ve tried -v and -x, and a combination of the two and it either hangs up on a line about some debugger or goes straight to the reboot screen.

Is it possible to dual boot an intel pc with windows AND OSX… ? Does anybody know and if so how would i go about it. I thought of just using an emulator as that’s what i have running on my Macbook….

hey everyone i am having trouble installing os x on my computer. when i go to the cmd prompt and type everything in it gives me

c:\tiger-x86-flat.img: Failed!
the system cannot find the file specified.
unabe to copy file!
\\?\tiger-x86-flat.img: a required attribute is missing.
there are no more file.

if someone can give me any advise as to what i need to fix that would be great thanks.

And i dont know Where to download these files i tried a lot to download but lack of seeds i couldnt download the max os x 10

This is from linux. the root device is where the lowest level of the filesystem is located (/). In this case, it should be your dvd drive, and this indicates that the installer is having difficulty reading the DVD (why, i can’t say)

Hi … i have the MacOSx 10.4.3 8F1111A Patched Jas v4.2b.iso on a dvd.. to install mac OS x tiger 86 on my pc… Intel core 2 duo well the i have an hd for it.. in HFS+ but i just dont understand how its works.. when i boot with the DVD..
in -v option .. but.. after few seconds.. its appears Waiting for ROOT device..
Can anyone tell me what is the root device? tanx to rply me on narle69@hotmail.com
