Breaking: Thongs losing popularity

THONG sales have collapsed by nearly 20% in the past year, signalling a backlash against a symbol of �chav� culture. [...] retail industry data indicate that sales nationally have fallen by 17% in one year. At some retailers the fall is even sharper: Harvey Nichols, the department store chain, sold 43% fewer thongs in April to June this year compared with 2004.
From past personal interviews that I’ve “conducted” ahem, the general consensus was that thongs were uncomfortable yet a wardrobe necessity. Although they may be sexy to look at on a woman from time to time, the women that I know prefer Boyshorts. For the sake of readers who don’t know what Boyshorts are, I forced myself to visit Victoria Secrets for a visual aid. Such torture! On a side note: Which do you prefer wearing or looking at?

Ha… just because Jill Kelly or Pamela Lee don’t take as many thong pictures doesn’t mean thongs are losing their ‘grip’. Besides, those boyshorts are a lot more expensive!
Well sexiness does have its price. So are you saying you think thongs are sexier? I think lacy boyshorts are better.
No, I think boyshorts are sexy than thongs, but when you see a girl walk by in a thin colorful summer dress and you see the slight butt jiggle, you know that does not come from boyshorts. Boyshorts will never deliver that hot butt jiggle, and jiggles are the hottest of all.

HA ha! Chris is on point w/ the jiggle. B-shorts add an extra layer that usually flaten the curves visible when a chic is wear a tight skirt/dress or dresspants.
And about b-shorts being sexier… I think that their are some really nice thongs as well as alot of generic lookin thongs/.
I wish you were right but I’ve just looked into this with Google Trends, and boy shorts have not taken off one iota compared to thongs ;-)
