Microsoft – A world without Apple
The Register reports that a few readers have noticed an interesting ‘feature’ of MSN’s latest Virtual Earth (Microsoft’s answer to Google Maps). If you search for Apple’s Cupertino headquarters through Google Maps, you’re presented with the following map. The same search in MSN Virtual Earth returns the following map minus the Cupertino headquarters.

I’m pretty sure there’s supposed to be a few Apple buildings in that grey area.
A little petty wouldn’t you say Microsoft? Instead of wasting resources to remove Apple’s headquarters from your map service, how about investing the time in coming up with a new Windows name? Microsoft is probably just using old sat images for that part of map.
