Technorati loves GreaseMonkey
This post was published 4 years 8 months 16 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Or should it be GreaseMonkey users love Technorati? We’ve covered the topic of GreaseMonkey on UES quite a number of times. Hopefully we’ve persuaded a few readers to come to our side of the fence (the spyware and hassle-free Internet browsing experience side). I’m constantly on the lookout for the latest GreaseMonkey scripts that fellow Internet users are brewing up – only because I’m too damn lazy / busy to sit down and write something myself.

TechnoGM script in action: Displaying a few blogs linking to our Treo 650 unlocking tutorial.
My latest discovery is the Technorati / GreaseMonkey userscript. For the uninitiated, Technorati scans the vast number of weblogs on the Internet creating a simple search interface from which to find blogged topics. The GM userscript will insert text links towards the bottom of the screen displaying other blogs which are currently linking the page you’re viewing. Note that links are provided by Technorati. If the weblog isn’t being tracked by Technorati, it will never be displayed as referring website.
Update: I noticed another GreaseMonkey / Technorati userscript while checking out BoingBoing. This one places a small clickable Technorati icon in the top left corner of the screen which displays the same information as the above script. You can find it here.
