Windows can save your passwords, and save you the trouble of finding each one as you need it. The problem is that, once you’ve become accustomed to not typing a password, you may not remember it when you do need to type it. Password Recovery XP helps you remember your password; you drag the mouse cursor in the password field, and the program reveals the characters behind the asterisks.

NOTE: This utility works with most password screens you encounter on a Windows system, such as the password fields on the ISP dial-up dialog box and those within CuteFTP and Outlook Express. However, it does not work with applications that do not actually store the password “behind” the asterisks, such as Windows NT User Manager.
