Flickr – lickr
This post was published 4 years 11 months 7 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding. While navigating to Flickr for my daily dose of amatuer/professional photographry, I had the feeling that one day someone out there would create a site called lickr. To be honest, I assumed the site would be based on adult entertainment. Anyway… moving on.
If you’re a Flickr user you are aware that the photo organization and navigation is flash based. If you’re looking for a snappier interface, the key is stripping the flash attributes. How you may ask? Well, it’s quite simple. Use Firefox, GreaseMonkey, and the lickr.user.js file. We covered the “How-to” on installing and using GreaseMonkey here. After completing the installation on your Firefox browser, you will now have access to an HTML & Javascript version of Flickr.
