Does the IT department at your office own you?
If you work in an office with a designated IT department, your internet browsing is probably being dictated by the nerdy fellas huddled in the dark room at the end of the hall. Sometimes websites that are designated NSFW are inaccessible making your shift seem longer then it really is. Here’s a method to get you through your day.
First things first. If your office is like mine, you’re probably stuck using Internet Explorer. The remedy? Find an old USB pen drive from a friend or buy one cheap. Next, load the portable version of Firefox from here. The final step… install the VirtualBrowser Firefox extension on to your portable USB Firefox pen drive.
Next time you login on to your computer, plug your little USB drive into your computer and start browsing. Viola! You now have access to a free online proxy.
VirtualBrowser’s server requests the file from an external web server, so your browser never communicates with the server, and thus never transmits any information about yourself.
Just don’t get caught looking at PORN.
This should also work for students on school networks. Browsing via the proxy may ‘break’ the appearance of some sites. Hey you have to make some sacrifices.

So sweet thanks
too bad my IT dept also disabled usb ports, cd drive, floppy, and all access rights on the machine.
what ever happened to the ” buy the nerds a hooker” thing? either way, nice trick.
damn.. well that sucks that your usb ports are disabled. i guess your SOL.
Won’t work in the school I work at as we are the ‘Alpha Technicians’ and all internet requests must go through our proxy, remote proxies are blocked and our ISP filters all traffic as well.
I know of students that use Pocket Firefox and a USB drive at a local college to completely bypass the filtering.
If you can’t or don’t want to install Firefox then you could always just go to http://virtualbrowser.fusionxhost.com/ and use it from there.
Unless of course, your firewall blocks all proxy avoidance links……
In My School, we use a proxy server, anyway around those blocks?
P.S. IE is blocked and we use Netscape and are switching over to firefox over the summer
My school disables most .exes so this probably wont work.
I use a proxy script site like surfatwork.net to bypass blocked website at school and work.
anyway to get past exe exuction prevention?
does this work if you are unable to access “my computer”?
dude are school sucks major balls all the proxy sites that we find are blocked within a week jayssite was a great one and we also used megaproxy they are good to but they keep blockin them i am looking for a good proxy site please send the link to me at my email ahsburner@yahoo.com asap we have no proxy sites right now
Yeah im tryin to get around the proxy avoidance but unfortunately every time i come across a backdoor website… it says “Proxy Avoidance” and i cant get around it…. it sux.. im don all i can.. hackin and wut not…. help me out neone if you can
I found one that works but not the best it is andysnetwork.com it works but with some errors.
to get around a firewall u could just go to altavista.com and click on the
translate, then type in the website and choose a random language to english, it dosent work on all sites (ie: http://www.totse.com, the coolest site in the world concerning illegal activities and blowing stuff up) but for the majority of them it works. However if ur admin or IT dep figures it out, theyll probably block the translate part. Which is what happened at our school which sux. If u have any sugg. email me at master51555@yahoo.com
Heh. My school blocked translation sites too. I found two or three working old sites that works but they soon blocked it too. But luckyly. I can still use usb port and such. Damn websense…damn you to hell…
http://www.thevirtualbrowser.com.nyud.net:8090/
Here try that. They use websense at my school and this works for the virtual browser site.
Actually add the ending \”.nuyd.net:8090\” to any site and u should b fine.
I\’m working on more.
The way around all software blocks is a Linux distro. called KNOPPIX…
Http://www.knopper.net
If you can get through all the German, you have yourself a backdoor.
Download it at home (preferably on broadband… its a big file) and burn it to a cd with ISOBURNER
another file you need to download, but not put on the cd.
Take the CD to school, and pop it in the drive, and restart the computer. Make sure that you have set the BIOS so that the CD drive boots first.
Have fun, and don’t delete the os or security, or they will be on to you.
Don’t get caught!

The nyud.net:8090/ thing works for some sites. Anybody finds any other ways, please e-mail me [combatkatexcore@yahoo.com].
install the realvnc server (realvnc.com) on your home computer, make sure ports 5800 and 5900 are open in your router and software firewall. You probably will want to change the RealVNC settings to password access. Assuming your school/work has java enabled, just goto
http://1.1.1.1:5800 (but replace the 1s with your IP address or domain.) Then you will be able to do anything, because you are controlling your home desktop! The only downside is that the color is reduced and there is a tiny bit of lag.
I generally steer well clear of this type of discussion since it smacks so clearly of hacking and I’m on the other side of the fence. I try to keep people from going to places or doing things they shouldn’t be but I’ll offer help for both sides. First, if you’re competent to set it up, you can set your own computer up to handle incoming traffic on pretty much whatever port you want. (This is vital on systems that filter anything that isn’t 80 or 443.) You can set up your OWN proxy that way. This works because you can handle the requests whatever way you want. You also could, for example, build a php page that pulls in the content of the page you want and puts that page on your own computer where it is then accessed via a dynamically built link. This is near impossible to block by most standard methods that institutions employ. Because you have an IP, you don’t get filtered at the DNS level and because you are using your own IP, you don’t get blocked on an black list unless someone is really alert. Sometimes you can work around even an alert admin by getting your IP reassigned daily. This does depend on you being able to hack up your own solution and having pretty good control of your own computer and fairly good broadband access.
For you admins out there, this is why ONLY a whitelist is really effective. Nothing you can do will ensure that someone cannot work around your security measures unless you limit what they can do rather than what they cannot. This is a very common problem in all manner of security issues. Many people take the approach of trying to stop people from doing something bad when what they really need to focus on is making sure people can only do what they are supposed to do.
When I try to install the vbrowzeit file, it gives me an error message talking about an invalid GUID. wtf?
