Someone has a pretty easy job driving around in a truck equiped with cameras and GPS equipment. A9 definitely has some cool factor now.

Using trucks equipped with digital cameras, global positioning system (GPS) receivers, and proprietary software and hardware, A9.com drove tens of thousands of miles capturing images and matching them with businesses and the way they look from the street.

Imagine the day when you can look up a residential address on something like Google Maps and getting an image of the actual house or apartment. Could prevent a lot of people from getting lost… Then again it could be a dangerous tool for that stalker in your life.

    I remember the first time I saw an animated .gif: a rotating 7up can on the company’s “homepage” in 1996. I thought “Damn!” now that is cool.
