For some odd reason I was reading the requirements to donate blood (I unfortunately can not due to high blood pressure) to the Red Cross and I found this:

[You can not donate if] you are a male who has had sex with another male since 1977, even once

and the list continues

I can sort of see where that is coming from, however, then why is New Jerseys fabulously gay govenor Jim Mcgreevy donating?
