HERE’S THE WORD ON DICTIONARY UPGRADE: ” If the high-tech revolution leaves you at a loss for words, don’t despair â€â€? now you can find ‘MP3′ and ‘DSL’ in the dictionary.

They are among the new words, acronyms and phrases used so frequently â€â€? like ‘pleather,’ and ‘teensploitation’ â€â€? that the editors at Merriam-Webster are including them in the annual update of the Collegiate Dictionary.

It usually takes about 20 years of usage for a word to qualify, but the Internet has revved up the process for some of them.”
