Got Android Email Blues? K-9 To The Rescue! Push Android EMail and Reply Arrow Syncing

Android is quickly becoming a MAJOR player in the mobile phone space. The OS has a great selection of applications, great UI and a wide hardware selection on all major networks. Whats not to like? The email client. It BLOWS! It doesn’t handle IMAP or POP3, it doesn’t sync reply arrows and most of all it doesn’t PUSH IMAP mail. Seriously! Well, have no fear though a small trip to the Android Marketplace and a free application can cure all these woes!

May I introduce K-9 Mail. Its an open source push email client for Android with multi-folder sync, email signatures, Bcc-to-self, return-address configuration, keyboard shortcuts, Exchange Support, message flagging, IMAP deletes, saving attachments, configurable notifications and – PUSH EMAIL! Best of all its free!

The mail client was the deal breaker for Android for me, but with K9 Mail it’s loaded with every email feature you could think of. Well worth the download!

    OK, but how do I sync ALL of my subfolders using K9 IMAP? Have it set to poll all folders, but only inbox, drafts, sent, and trash show up…

    Was just wondering about this issue — seriously didn’t realize email wasn’t push when I bought the Droid. Thank you SO MUCH for this info.

    I can`t use K-9, since it loads attachments, whenever I open a mail. So roaming kills you, when you travel abroad. Any solutions to that issue?
