Something Wrong With This Commercial?

Besides the service being a TOTAL SCAM you guys notice anything odd about this commercial? No, its not the campy acting.

XP on a macbook’s not too far of a stretch, but the blue screen of death? Now that’s just plain silly….

  • D

Most of the computers pictured are Macs (apparently running Windows), when the disclaimer at the bottom says “for PC Computers Only?”

  • BDegan

Could it be by any chance that they have a mac getting the blue screen of death. Or is it just how super white and photoshop-ed all the computer screens look… Yeahhhh!

I LOVE this commercial. Every time I see it I crack up.

Where do I type in my credit card number? I must have this!

    Firefox errors in IE?

  • jopari

Pause it at :18… I’m not sure how they managed to mess up this badly, but Internet Explorer’s got the Mac version of Firefox’s “Unable To Connect” screen.

Such epic failure, the whole way through.

Oh Man! I love this commercial. I see it all the time when watching FSN. I immediately explained to my girlfriend how completely wrong it was since Macs can’t get a BSOD. She, of course, did not care…

I initially thought this would be some kind of anti-Mac commercial, and that would be the “odd” thing.

I also love the inaccurate redundancy in “PC Computers only,” which is saying “personal computer computers only.” And Macs are PCs, too!

oh kami-sama, is that real cm from american tv O_O?

  • chad

    @insanelyapplepie

sadly yes… even more sad is there is so much ignorance that people are going to fall for it… even more sad yet is that someone is probably going to make a good chunk of money from it… and last but not least no one will be executed for producing any of it when clearly they should all be drowned and beaten to death with their own keyboards.

$5 says the guy behind all of this still uses a pencil and paper day planner.

    i… i….

i wish i thought of this! i bet people pay for it too!

damn i need to think of a clever scam like this!

  • Namratha

The ad on wall street journal, news week is an ad for “Ascentive” not “Finally Fast.com” :O

The video editor of this video left hints for geeks to show that this company is complete SCAM.

“Pause it at :18… I’m not sure how they managed to mess up this badly, but Internet Explorer’s got the Mac version of Firefox’s “Unable To Connect” screen.

i think if my ibook gave me the blue screen of death, i would very literally die.

slow loading email would be the smallest of my computers problems. haha.

  • QWERTY22

I don’t know what’s better. This video or this one:

Apparently somebody took it upon themselves to explain to us the “errors” in the commercial… Not to mention that he is wrong in saying that viruses/adware/malicious software never interfere with your internet connection :p

    Man.. some people…

Firefox errors in IE on a Mac… They have more issues then a slow computer :D

  • chad

ummm found this … I much prefer this version, had my crying I was laughing so hard.
