Verizon Goes Unlimited, Really!

I never thought I would be writing that Verizon has decided to go completely unlimited, and not “unlimited” with tons of restrictions. Starting tomorrow Verizon will introduce a slew of unlimited plans.

  • $100 – Nationwide Unlimited (voice)
  • $120 – Nationwide Select Unlimited (voice, SMS, MMS)
  • $140 – Nationwide Premium (voice, SMS, MMS, VZNav, VCAST, email)
  • $150 – Nationwide Email and Messaging (voice, SMS, MMS, and data)
  • $170 – Nationwide Global Email and Messaging (voice, SMS, MMS, and international data)

Also Verizon will remove the 5GB cap on data on these unlimited plans which will be available to all current customers for no contract extension.

Because we all have a spare $100….

Metro PCS has Unlimited EVERYTHING, for like $60 bucks/month.

Metro PCS has the “nationwide voice plan” at $35 compare that to $100 of Verizon. And for some reason, maybe cause I’ve been a customer for more than 6 years, I pay only $48 (w tax) and get all the features of that of the $50…but I’m not telling. NOW, all Metro needs to do to get the edge- is to get smartphones…. which is rumored that metro is in the process… Either way, welcome Verizon to unlimited… hopefully AT&T and T-mobile will follow!!

Cricket has unlimited everything in their cheapest plan for like $35/mth.

AT&T and T-Mobile announced today that they too are going to offer unlimited plans for $100 a month. Yeah Metro PCS and Cricket have cheap, unlimited plans, but its only good if you stay in your calling area because they’ll kill you with roaming or LD.

What if you want voice minutes but unlimited data?

    Oh, thanks Helio!
