Macworld 2008: Strange Encounters of the Steve Kind and WATCH OUT FOR THE HAT

First of all, may I say I actually SPOKE with Steve Jobs. Yes, mind you it was a three minute conversation basically saying how I liked the keynote but yes, I did speak with his Steveiness without getting mauled by his handlers (Schiller was there as a bouncer this year!). Secondly, just as a side note the man doesn’t shake hands. Nope, mere morals are not privileged enough to actually touch the iCEO.

Secondly, I’m no marketer BUT if you are selling a product that is designed to make your life more convenient don’t choose the following picture to promote it.

Come on who would WANT to buy that battery pack? The poor woman looks like she is getting electrocuted.

Also if you are on the show floor, keep your eyes pealed for a certain blogger wearing a certain hat. Feel free to say Hi, he may just say Hi back.

I hate you and I hate that hat. *Jealous*

I’m leaving bright and early tomorrow to be there for two days. I’ll be on the lookout for the god-awful hat, but I’ll probably be tied up in conferences for most of the day. You have my email Dan, so if you want a quick meetup you can get ahold of me that way.

Oh, and the keynote for my educator conference on Thursday is being given by Woz. I sense a great picture opportunity, if I can finaggle my way to him.

What’s up with the hand shake? Was he polite and say he was sick, or that you might be sick, or that his immune system was run down by all the excitement?

My opinion of him is dependent on his reason to not shake your hand.
In Texas, a man shakes a man’s hand.

I heard he loses his powers if he shakes someone’s hand.

If you were Steve would you want to shake hands with the unwashed mass of fanboys?
