I had to decrease my brightness by 11, and how dark everything else seemed (especially the title bars) was kinda too strange to bear.

I’m amazed at how poorly my screen was calibrated. This actually helped me quite a a lot. I didn’t follow their recommended settings to a T, but I did need to make some large adjustments. I’m finally seeing things how they were meant to be seen, how sad.

You never realize how bad your monitor is until you calibrate it.

I bought a Spyder2 Express last year and it’s been a major help. Works with LCD and CRT monitors. Not only does brightness matter but white balance is the major killer.
