Tech Pile: What Everyone Else Is Talking About
While I generally try to stay away from the stuff EVERYONE is talking about, among all those stories are things that may be of interest. Here are some of the recent happenings in the tech world you may or may not have seen/stuff that probably shouldn’t have an entire post dedicated to it. Give us your feedback on this, even if it gets me fired.
CSI: Web 2.0?
Check out Twitter being mentioned in a recent episode of CSI:
Burn, Baby, Burn
Amazon unveiled an e-book device called “Kindle” which will allow users to download books for $9.99. You will be able to buy books on the device which will be delivered via sprint. The cost? $399.00! Who does Amazon think they are, Apple?! – Read More
I is what I is.
I would die a little inside if I had to make a post just to say Facebook is removing the “is” from your status updates but this news makes me happy.

Foxy, but slow
Firefox 3 Beta 1 is available now. The UI looks a bit like Safari it seems, and it’s said to be faster. Don’t bother with it if there are extensions you need – they may not work. Also, those nasty memory leaks seem to be worse. Testing purposes only!
Presidential Digg
Further proof that the internet is a market politicians are after, Digg launched a political site. Go make your friendly woodland Kucinich your friend! Oh and Duncan Hunter as well, we feel sorry for him.
Oh, The Humanity
I can’t bare to stare too long at the mock ups Philipp Lenssen did of what Gmail would look like if it was a Windows Live product.
Happy To Be UNEASY, yet silent
The head geek at a super sexy blog managed to get Leopard to run on a teenie weenie eeePC and the coverage was really crazy. I wish I could write for them. I told Dan to watermark that image! I also hear there may be a video soon to disprove the 3 non-believers of this.
And that’s it, that’s all I can muster. This may be the very last time we do this, depending on how you like it, so let us know what you like and don’t like in the comments, or contact me directly if you want. .
Happy Reading!
