EEEPC Love At UNEASYcentral – Am I Crazy?
I’ve always been a mobile computing snob. I want a computer that is small, light, good battery, able to connect to 3G networks and cheap.
I was always able to find some combination of the above requirements from various manufacturers – but nothing cheap. I think I found something that fits the bill with the Asus eeePC.
The specs for the device are very deceiving. I thought I would never be able move beyond the Xandros linux preinstalled, but after installing Windows XP on the eeePC I found the little guy to still be quite snappy.
At first glance this laptop is perfect for mobile professionals who just need to email, word process, VPN or web surf.
A full review is due shortly, but to quote an email I sent to Derek this machine is small, cheap and fast – certainly worth a look as a traveling laptop or a desktop companion.
