Notes From The Apple Event

I’m so friggin psyched, I just went to the online apple store, and it’s down because they are busy “updating.”

kind of a disappointment.. i mean the multitouch ipod looks awesome and functions awesome, but what the heck man?? only 8gb or 16gb versions? this will be like with the appletv, you’ll be able to hack it apart to play all manor of audio/video formats, but its only got a max of 16gb of space. *sigh*

ahh well, other people may not find that a problem and apple will sell a crap-ton of them.

This of course only means that 16GB iPhones are coming down the road sometime. Or perhaps they’ll leapfrog it and go for 32. One of my primary gripes with the iPhone is the small storage size, but 16 GB doesn’t really cut it either. I guess you have to trade off something for the touch capabilities.

And now all the people who bought iPhones to just use them for the iPod features will be crying themselves to sleep tonight. Twice the space for $200 less.

Two things I immediately noticed missing from the iPod Touch: Mail and Notes. I use both of those apps quite a bit on my iPhone. I wonder what the rationale was for leaving those out?

the best was the price drop to the iphone… I feel sorry for all those guys out the US who bought large stocks of them wanted to make the business of their lifes selling unlocked versions…

I’m glad iTunes doesn’t have a Rhapsody like service (I’m trying to feel better for having a Nokia N800 and feel a little jealous about those new ipod touch)
