Apple Offers $100 iPhone Rebate

For those jonesing for the $100 Apple iPhone rebate, It’s now up and running, but apparently unannounced.

As the site says:

“If you bought your iPhone before August 22, you may be eligible for an instant $100 electronic credit toward the purchase of products at the Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store. See the terms and conditions below for more details. To receive your credit, follow these three easy…”

Apple just asks you to input your serial number and AT&T phone number. They send you a claim code via SMS that you then input in the website for your $100 coupon.

    It sucks that they won’t let you use this credit towards the iTunes music store nor on an iTunes Gift Certificate.

    something that costs well over $100, knowing Apple’s prices. They’ll come out ahead anyway, here. I’m sure a few will pick up iPhone accessories in the sub-$100 range, but for the most part, you’ll be spending considerably more.

    Nevermind, I see now :-( Well It says I may not be eligible for some reason, so I sent em an email… Prolly has something to do with me changing my phone # shortly after getting the phone….damn it.

    This SUCKS!

    I spent hours on hold today trying to get through. I purchased four iPhones as gifts and do not have the phones in hand. I even pay for the phones I provided to employees as gifts. Apple will not provide me a way to get the $100 Apple play money (that would be a total of $400) since I don’t have the phones in hand to get both the serial number and the SMS code. LAME!

    Shouldn’t having AT&T bills attached to iPhones suffice? This is a prime example of technology taking a serious step backwards.

    Apple Support SUCKS. If any other company made it’s customers wait in a phone queue as long as Apple does they would get so much bad press but Apple can do whatever they want and loyal fan base takes it with open arms.

    BTW – I sold my Apple stock today. Best to sell while on top.

    First had a problem because it said I returned my phone, but after exchanging emails with them for a few times, the serial number was reset and I got my rebate.

    Came back a few hours ago with a new 8gb black iPod nano :) Funny how this thing is about a fifth the size but double the capacity of my 4gb iPhone’s size.

    woo hoo! I just went to an Apple Retail store & bought a $100 iTunes gift card… they didn’t say anything. :-D
