Movable Type 4 Launches
Bloggers fire up your engines, the popular blogging system Movable Type has made the jump to 4.0.
The first major change is that MT4 has gone quasi open source by releasing their core functionality under the GPL.
Some new features include OpenID and user registration, “social networked” comments (allowing end users to create profile pages and rate others), and a completely redesigned user interface. This version also handles large surges of traffic better by using both optimized code as well as the ability to move from dynamic to static cached content. If you are a MT user, this version deserves a look.
