EA delivers four game titles
I’ll admit that I am just now getting around to computer games. No joke. Just last week my co-workers convinced me to install Steam on my Mac Pro via Windows Vista (Boot Camp). It’s freakin’ awesome – and oh so xx number of years ago!
Anyway, after killing some time on the local network playing Deathmatch with my cohorts, I get this gaming itch at random hours. Unfortunately, my Mac Pro stays at the office and my MacBook does not have nearly enough GPU power to let me continue my gaming whilst at home. You can understand why I was mildly excited to hear that EA is finally delivering some of those sharp looking games announced at that special Apple ‘vent thing called WWDC (whatever that is).
Electronic Arts (EA) late Friday announced that it is shipping four of its promised six new games for the Macintosh, including Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Need for Speed Carbon, Battlefield 2142 and Command & Conquer Tiberium Wars.
Users can order the games from Apple’s online store today. Need for Speed Carbon and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix are both going to be available in Apple retail stores beginning Tuesday, August 21, while Battlefield 2142 and Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars will be available a week later, on the 28th.
You can expect me to be at the local Apple Store picking up a copy of Battlefield 2142, C&C, and maybe Need for Speed Carbon. Are you planning on picking up some of the new titles?
