Major South San Francisco Power Outage Knocks Craigslist, Netflix, Technorati, Yelp, Movable Type, Typepad, LiveJournal, Vox Offiline

South San Francisco is currently experiencing multiple power outages which is greatly impacting major websites on the internet.

Most noticeably affected is 365Main, which is a major west coast colocation facility. Other popular sites such as Craigslist, Netflix, Technorati, Yelp, and all SixApart properties such as Movable Type, Typepad, LiveJournal, and Vox are all offline.

    South San Francisco is a completely different city out near the SF airport. Downtown San Francisco, including the area known as SoMa (South of Market), was affected by the blackout.

    Cheesy but yes, it makes me feel good about living in this terribly depressing city. Our claim to fame is lame ass Sign Hill.
