Cell Phone Battery Explodes and Kills A Man

Unfortunately a 22-year-old Chinese welder was killed when his Motorola cellphone battery exploded in his chest pocket while he was working in high temperatures.

Motorola said it was “highly unlikely” that one of the company’s products was to blame and questioned whether the man was using a fake Motorola cell phone or battery.

    …or maybe it has something to do with the fact that he was “working in high temperatures,” perhaps even welding, given his job description.

    Looking at the back of my cell phone’s battery, it clearly says no to expose it to “high temperatures (120F)”, or fire…
