If you haven’t heard, Camino is looking pretty hot

If you regularly find yourself fighting against your browser – Firefox – on OS X rather than enjoying the convenience of browsing the internet, check out the latest update from Camino.     Why do you think people prefer Firefox on the Mac even when something as convenient as Safari is installed by default? Safari has tabs, is fast, good rendering etc.. It is in no-way as bad as IE on te PC, yet people prefer Firefox?
    Even if Opera where free people would still use FF for these same reasons.
    Camino is SOL. These developpers should put their talent to better use with OO natiive aqua port etc..

    I agree, the new Camino is hot and tasty. There are a couple of usable webdev plugins for it at http://pimpmycamino.com/, but nothing as useful as firebug … or the webdev toolbar … or … or. It’s going to rival Safari as my daily browser, but I love my Safari. Torn.

    No Plugins, no way.
    It is a bit faster but it’s kind of crippled.
    Camino is a waste of developer resources. They should work WITH the FireFox team.

    No Built in RSS reader (like safari) means no way, just like fire fox.

    I have to agree, I use Firefox solely for the extensions. Yes, Camino is faster, and yes so is Safari, but I *need* certain extensions that I have grown so accustomed to using on a day to day basis (and often times, minute to minute). Once certain extensions get ported over to Camino’s “plugin” system, then it’ll be a different story. I realize there are some firebug’esque type plugins for camino, but its just not the same.

    Excellent! Good to see that the people of Camino are working hard on the browser. I personally prefer it to Safari and Firefox, even though it doesn’t support extensions. Still think it’s faster and has better keychain integration.
