BluePhoneElite – Your cellphone extended to your OS X desktop

A long-time fan of Mira Software, I have been beta testing the soon to be released BluePhoneElite with my Nokia N95 and have high hopes that this convenient piece of software will save users from micromanaging correspondences on their mobile phones. Imagine sitting at your desk – sending, receiving, managing, and exporting your text messages from your handset via Bluetooth without ever having to hold the phone in your hand. An appealing prospect is it not?

If you would like to give BluePhoneElite a try, check out the current 1.0 release here. For the more adventurous, check out the BluePhoneElite Beta 2 release (valid serial from version 1 required). Make sure to check the handset compatibility list to see if your handset meets the requirements.

That’s dumb, why would I BUY a full copy of the old version to have the priviledge of trying out the beta? The app does things I like, but why would I pay for it without trying it out?

The idea isnt that you buy a license for version 1 to try version 2 beta. This system means that people with a license for v1 can try v2b but as explicitly stated on the website you should NOT buy a v1 license for the sole purpose of trialling v2b.

I used to use v1 and am now trialling the beta. It looks as though it has a LOT of potential and we’ll be much better than v1, however there are still a lot of MAJOR bugs to be worked out by the developer.
