Litter your Apple desktop with mini photographs

Want to cover your OS X desktop with a little creative collage of miniature photographs from your iPhoto collection? Mac & Design recommends a crafty application called Photo Desktop (Donation-ware). Rather than make due with your favorite generic wallpaper, Photo Desktop will add miniature framed photographs strewn about haphazardly. Personally, if I were the sentimental type to cover my desktop with ooh and aah photographs of yore, I would load this up instantly. Ah shucks, I’ll load it anyway just to get a screenshot.

Setup is a breeze. Load Photo Desktop and then identify an image source library. Resize the image and crop a specific view, add or remove the caption, rotate, and position where needed. Confirmed, the application is perfect for the sentimental type. I’m going to stop with two photos as filling the 30" screen would be too time consuming. For the resource shy, Photo Desktop consumed no more than 35MB – if that means anything.
