Holy Hybrid Blackberry

2179_275×223.jpg RIM was rolled out a hybrid CDMA/GSM BlackBerry 8830 that can trot the world with you. For a second there I thought "Cool, I can have two numbers on one device", one from Sprint, and another from Cingular / T-Mobile. Then I could manage two different lives from one device. Wishful thinking I guess.

You wish Derek.. Networks are asking manufacturers to remove Wifi from their phones so that they cannot bypass their expensive data plans or make cheap internet calls nd you were hoping they would allow another telco’s SIM card in there?
Tss.. you know better than that.

What’s even more shocking is that you cannot get a decent standalone Voip phone which works on anything but Skype.
Skype already proven us that they do whatever they like with their prices. Those who bought Skype phones are now seriously regretting as they have 5c connection charges. That’s the equivalent of tagging along 2.5 mins extra on each call.
