McDonalds Not Happy About the Word McJobs
McDonald’s in the U.K. wants the word “McJob” to disappear from the dictionary.
Defined in the Oxford English Dictionary, a “McJob” is “an unstimulating, low-paid job with few prospects, especially one created by the expansion of the service sector.”
A McDonalds spokesperson believes the definition is wrong and wanted to say that McDonalds jobs are “…stimulating, rewarding and offers a wide range of opportunities. All the skills I have learned at McDonald’s will last me a lifetime.”
Of course McDonalds is not happy with the definition, but you have to admit the chance of promotion in a fast food chain is lower then other jobs in the marketplace.
