Affordable Solid State Memory HDD

sandisk_ssd.jpg Hey Kids, the days of drooling over the thought of owning a solid state hard drive may be over.

At CeBit SanDisk announced their intentions to ship a solid state 32GB 2.5″ drive for only $350 (which mind is you still EXPENSIVE for a 32GB drive but MUCH CHEAPER then the previously announced $600 price tag for a 1.8″ model)

For those out of the know the 2.5″ form factor is important is because it is the same size as the disks in laptops, and is being designed as a replacement Serial ATA (SATA) drive – which means you can simply swap out your old energy sucking and heat producing 5400rpm or 7200rpm drive and get increased laptop runtime.
