The Amazin’ Beer Chiller

Using patented XTR technology (read: two double a batteries and ice) the Amazin’ Beer Chiller chills 12- or 16-ounce cans of beer from room temperature in no time!

The secret is that the beer chiller creates a (prepare for marketing dribble) vortex within the can that exposes all of the beer to the chilled aluminum skin AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! and the chilled beers are ready to drink in as soon as two minutes.

Not sure if I believe this XTR mombo jumbo but for $19.95 how big of a waste of money could it be?

It might work just fine. One of the local liquor establishments have a unit like this for wine, and it’s basically a swirl of very cold water. It pulls the heat away from the bottle and chills it very quickly.

this may work just fine. I used to take beer cans and lay them sideways on a pile of ice, in a cooler, whatever, then use both hands to spin the can as fast as possible for about 2 minutes. works great, and doesn’t shake up the contents.
