Video game meets architecture – Half Life rendered Fallingwater

An excellent computer rendering of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater using the Half Life computer game’s rendering engine. [via] Visit the Fallingwater website for actual images of the incredible architectural landmark.

WHAT A brilliant idea. I can use this idea for some one kick ass design presentation. I’ll just hand the judges a controller and they’ll be able to move around my model in the same manner. Brilliant….

..the thought is making me drool already!

cool architecture innovation, making the house in a game engine so you can present it to them by letting them actually navigate through the scene themselves

during the summer of last year i did a big house in 3d but i did not use any special engine, i just rendered in in 3ds max. I made a video of my work, but unlike this video, mine was just a smooth MTVCribs-like walk around. heres my work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0XDCXRb3Zs excuse the lack of textures on mine, im still in school for this stuff, lol.

Maybe not that appropriate for a little sketch ;)
