USAA bank allows customers to scan and deposit checks

No joke. USAA – a military personal bank – now provides members with software which alleviates the hassle of visiting a local branch or mailing a check for deposit. Rather than leaving the creature comforts of your home, USAA allows customer with a means to instantly deposit their checks via the internet. Simply sign and scan your check at home, and send it straight to USAA for deposit (remote deposit). Visit USAA for more information [via]. I wish my bank would provide this type of service considering branches are few and far between.

    Well, the truth is that they don’t have branches anywhere but San Antonio, so this is their only way to get people to keep using their services in any other city. (Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s why I didn’t use USAA much before, opting for a bank that had a local branch I could visit instead.)

    they only have one branch and that is in SA but now days not many people venture into banks withsince online banking and direct deposits came around.
