Project: JennyScan
The 1982 song “Jenny (867-5309)” by Tommy Tutone may now only be a memory, but at the time Tommy’s use of a real number wreaked havoc on phone systems and angered people that actually had that number.
A yearly project has been setup up to check on the status of all the “Jenny numbers” in the US every November or December.
It kinda funny flipping through the list how many numbers are active, inactive and how many people can’t take a joke.
