Get Wii Transfer for $9 before January ends

If you’re looking to extend or exploit the entertainment factor of your Wii a little more, check out Wii Transfer. But hurry, the license through the end of the month will cost a mere $9 (compared to the expected $14). So what is Wii Transfer all about?

The Nintendo Wii can play movies taken with most digital cameras without additional software. But if you have existing movies that were compressed in a format that the Wii does not understand, you can use Wii Transfer to convert those movies to play in the Wii’s Photo Channel.

I’m all for extending the usefulness of the Wii until Apple’s TV and new N routers ship. The ability to share music and pictures by simply checking an option in the preferences is definitely something to enjoy (if you ask me).
