Codename: Lasso
Think Secret has let the beans spill on Apple’s forthcoming iWork ’07 software suite. The bundle will feature the long rumored spreadsheet application at this point code named “Lasso.” Although few features are known Think Secret is reporting this broad stroke picture:
[Lasso will include many features] that will transcend all iWork applications, such as conditional formatting in spreadsheets, enabling images to be treated as content in table cells, and an iPhoto-like “heads-up display” interface offering image editing options.
Do you think Apple should continue developing this Office product, and just let users wait for Microsoft to step up to the plate or that competition is good?
