With the holidays just around the corner, the thought of Christmas may make a few shudder hesitantly as the though of spending money on presents may not be all that exciting. Google Checkout option at Buy.com

Anyone doing a little online shopping has surely seen the $50 savings incentive for anyone who checks out using Google Checkout. Has anyone put their trust in Google by providing their personal debit / credit card information for online purchases?

    I haven’t yet but intend on taking up offers from Google (like this) and PayPal stores that provide free shipping when you use their PayPal checkout process.

    i havent taken advantage of the google holiday offers, but i have given them my information, and i have bought a few things using google checkout, and so far i have no complaints, but, then again, i have tremendous faith in google.

    The single experience that I had with Google Checkout could have gone a little better. Towards the end of the checkout process Google offers an option to have all correspondences from the retailer sent to your Gmail account. Strangely, I received duplicate emails from both Google and the retailer as though the option was never actually activated. Aside from that, the service seems like a decent system.

    Amazing experience. You can use the buy.com google checkout offer as many times as you want. I got my father a new videocard, and new memory, both = 118. So SEXXY!

    I also plan on taking up newegg’s free shipping with paypal offer. Got to love online shopping!

    I have not found any site that have the $20 off of $50 purchases, only the $10 off for $30. Does any one have a list or link with the $20 off merchants?

    Used Google checkout to place an order with Aeropostale for some kids clothes last week. Using google checkout saved us about $20, but after calling Aeropostale’s customer service about the invalid tracking number that was emailed to us, we found out that the order has been lost by the USPS and we’ll have to wait an additional 15 days for them to research it. I would say it could have been a better experience due to that mishap, but it is in no way Google’s fault.

    yes, GO is soon going to be the new paypal. I’m thinking that the only reason it would not overtake Paypal is because I can’t imagine eBay allowing it to compete with it’s very own Paypal as a payment method.

    I’ve used it, works quite well. Remember my credit info, don’t have to put in much info.

    Saved about $30-40 so far between 2-3 sites.

    I used this on buy.com and picked up a little Polarioid photo printer for I think $9.00 (nine-dollars) after the mail in rebate and the Google checkout. I already use PayPal and I like that the Google approach only links to my credit card instead of my bank.
