Harry Potter will die… Maybe?

According to the Guardian, odds are that the little Harry Potter character is in a solid position to meet his demise – possibly sacrificing himself in order to kill Lord Voldemort?

Harry Potter’s arch enemy, Lord Voldemort, is odds-on favourite to kill off the boy wizard in the final instalment of the series. Bookmaker William Hill said punters were throwing their weight behind Voldemort, and even Harry, to bring about his demise. The revelation came days after JK Rowling’s seventh book was revealed as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. A William Hill spokesman said: “… the general consensus seems to be that Harry is the final Horcrux and to ensure that Voldemort dies he will need to be sacrificed.” A Horcrux holds a person’s soul, ensuring immortality.

Finally! Maybe? A possible end to the series? Come on, who can’t admit to having seen one, two, or three of these movies? It’s unavoidable… I for one look forward to seeing this successful series come to an end. Only because I find it hard to believe that we will see any other book series top the sales records set by JK Rowling.

    Read all six books, awaiting the seventh. While Harry may be an accidental Horcrux, it just doesn’t fit the greater arc if he dies. It’s not impossible for JKR to change things that way, but I doubt it.

    after finishing the 5th book, i told my sister harry will die at the end of the series. My thoughts were reconfirmed when the prophecy was revealed in the 6th book. Thte prohecy does not rule out that both Harry and Voldermort can both die at one time, which is what i think will happen.

    I cant wait for the book to come out.

    I remember hearing the actor who plays Harry Potter in the movies saying that he thought Harry would die in the last book. At the time that was backed by the fact JKR was getting sick of the books in general…

    I dunno, but I think the fake horcrux (the locket) was left by Regulus Black. The initials on the bit of paper were R.A.B. (Regulus Alphard Black). If you remember in the 5th book, Sirius mentioned his uncle Alphard. We’ll see if I’m right when the 7th book comes out here.

    omg i think R.A.B. is regulus too!! it has to be, cause I don’t know who else it could be, but I think that in the end both Harry and Voldemort will die, I mean doesn’t Harry kind of have to die, if JKR isn’t making any more HP books, I mean what is a HP book with out Harry Potter???
