Unofficially browse the web on the Wii – right now

Seems that the Nintendo Wii, already has a fully functional web browser built into the console. With a little fancy redirection in your routers DNS table for the Wii store, you can surf the web for free – right now.

(Hint: Hit the play button on the controller the video to play the video)

…… I still can’t even get mine to use the store correctly…. it just stays at connecting for like 8 years… I usually have to unplug it to reboot it… hope I don’t have to send it back :(

Damn Chad, internet connection issue? I just unboxed mine and downloaded a few classics right away.

Is it just me or was that slow? Must have some mushrooms stuck in the line.

yea my Wii-intertubes are clogged up from mushrooms and rupees… I need to call my local congress man an have them shoot some lottery balls through my tubes before I start trying to dump more stuff on them like they are a truck….

hmmm after a bit of research seems its a DNS problem… a few other people have had it to, updating their DNS address in their router to OpenDNS apparently clears it up… guess the Comcast DNS servers in my area haven’t propogated the Wii addresses yet…

Heh. The same thing happened with the PSP.

So…there’s a working web browser right there, we do we have to wait for opera to finish or just release the other?

Though I really have no point in using my Wii for web browsing when I have a computer right by it, but it just seems cool
