Relaunch – Snapshots of your workflow on OS X

Want to pick-up exactly where you left off without breaking stride – even with a restart? Check out Relaunch.

Relaunch saves you time by taking Snapshots of which applications you are using, and starts them back up for you. Think of it as a launcher on steroids that lets you switch between work contexts with one click. It’s smart too! As well as starting groups of applications it also knows which documents you were working on in 30 popular applications and loads those up for you as well.

The menubar application has proven quite effective for times when a quick shutdown is required yet stopping work immediately is not possible. Restart and let Relaunch pick-up where you last left off. The application does have a $5 registration fee, but if you wander on over to MacZot, you can get your own copy for a little shy of $4.

Keep in mind that Relaunch does not work with all applications that you own, you may want to check through the list of compatible apps.
