This came our way from a reader Ray Frohnhoefer. It is a picture from 1954 Popular Mechanics Magazine showcasing a modern computer. Ray notes that the Fortran language still survives and keyboard and printer remain our main means of interface – funny how much and how little changes over the years.

Thats photoshopped, the wheel and stuff is from a ship controls on display somewhere. I remember it showing up a few years back and was linked to a Fark photoshop contest.

    So, this is a Mac G2? G1?

  • Steve B

That’s basically the most famous Fark photoshop ever. More people may recognize the giant testicle squirrel but more people think this one is real.
